Still recovering from his latest little joust with illness, Jamie didn't eat much breakfast this morning. But - surprise, surprise - he did manage to scoff the first chocolate from his Advent calendar.
I first showed him the calendar a couple of weeks ago and he was clearly excited by the sight of Peppa Pig and George on the front. So much so that he through it all around the room.
But that level of hysteria was nothing when compared to this morning's feelings of simple satisfaction once he realised that chocolate was also involved.
I had to help him find the right door and get through the foil.
But then the inbuilt chocoholic instinct, which comes with being a White, simply took over.
And, to be fair to him, he didn't complain too much when he realised he wasn't getting to open any more doors today - even giving me the baby equivalent of a thumbs up.
Only 23 more barriers to break through between now and Christmas Eve.
