After yesterday's mistaken-gender-identity incident on the train, the last thing Vanessa and I really needed was the following message in Jamie's nursery's March newsletter, which we received earlier today:
"Our annual Easter Bonnet Parade will be held on Wednesday 24 March at 10.30am.
"There will be a prize for the best bonnet and all children who participate will receive a small prize.
"We look forward to seeing your wonderful creations."
Clearly there's no way we can cut his hair before then.
